Fender Tex-Mex Stratocaster Review

This is my main axe. When I decided to buy an electric guitar in 1996, I knew I wanted a Fender Stratocaster. My favorite guitarists play Strats, so getting a Strat was a natural choice. I took a friend with me to look for a guitar. On the first day out, we found a Japanese Strat (a sweet guitar) and a Tex-Mex Strat, which my friend and I liked.
I didn't buy that Tex-Mex that day because I promised my wife I wouldn't buy a guitar the first day I went shopping. A week later, I went to a nearby guitar shop and found my Tex-Mex Strat.

The Tex-Mex Strat is a wonderful instrument. These instruments are all high quality and consistent. The Tex-Mex pickups are 'hot', and this guitar has a wonderfully 'growling tone'.
