On the Yellow Brick Road

2010 Trip to Hawaii - Saturday

Saturday was our last day in Hawaii and since our flight was not going to leave until 11pm so we decided to to rent a car for the day.  I caught a ride with Beth, Max, and their family to the airport really early on Saturday to pick up a car at the airport.

After I got back to the resort, we loaded up our luggage and an ice chest with lunch.  We headed off to the Oahu North Shore.  Once there we found a nice park, Kaiaka Bay Beach Park to have a picnic lunch.

Here is everyone hanging out on the beach after lunch.

A good photograph of my lovely wife

Actually here is a better photograph of my sexy wife

Later we went to get Hawaiian Ice at Matsumoto Shave Ice which is where I thought President Obama liked to go for Hawaiian ice when he is home.  Here is a picture of Catalina, Benjamin and Trudy outside of Matsumoto Shave Ice shop.

Dec. 24, 25, 26, & 27 2009 Topeka, Kansas received a record amount of snow.  Here are some photographs

I took some photographs Kansas State Capital Building on Nov. 29, 2009 between 5:30 pm and 5:50 pm.  I was just south of the building getting ready to participate in the 2009 Topeka Christmas Parade with Boy Scout Troop 11 honor guard.

Lost Dog in Topeka, KS :: Has been Found

Update:  Oct 10, 2009

Just as mysteriously as Spike disappeared, after 10 days missing, he showed up!

As of this moment, all I have is theories as to how this happened and where Spike was.  What I can reasonably assume is that he was not taken in.  He was disoriented, scared, very hungry and a really big mess ... covered from head to toe with mud and cockaburrs.

I feel blessed and very fortunate that he's back.  Seriously, as if all those people who were praying for me and my dog, were heard.

Jim XXXXXXX is the sound man at Uncle Bo's which is how I have gotten to know him.  He is a nice guy and when he told me that he was really upset about losing his dog I asked him to send me the information about his lost dog.

Please? Help me find my dog!

SPIKE is an 11-year old 60-pound Golden Retriever/Chow mix Male who went missing on Thursday, October 8th in the vicinity of SE 38th & Illinois Avenue in Topeka, Kansas.  He is professionally trained, neutered and very obedient.

I DO love my "Spiker" and will NEVER stop searching for him....EVER!
